Welcome to the website for the Bristol Branch of the Referees' Association. We represent football referees throughout the Bristol area and on this site you will find out information about our monthly meeting, our guest speaker, the branch and other member services. Focus on Bill Bombroff: On the 11th July, 2009 Bill Bombroff was granted a LIFE MEMBERSHIP to the Referees Association, an Honour in recognition of Bill’s 43 years of service to the Association. Click here to view the article.

02/11/09: On Saturday 24th October the Bristol branch won the county skittles event held in Gloucester. This is the first time the branch has won this event, which has been going for many years. Frank White also picked up the best bowler award. A good night was had by all.

22/09/09: Sheldon has a supply of the new LAWS OF THE GAME 2009-10 at a discount price of only £2.25. Pick one up at the next meeting or speak to Sheldon directly.

The Guest Speaker was local Physiotherapist Sue Hughes – England Women’s 2009 Cricket World Cup-winning Physio – talking about “Prevention Is Better Than Cure”. In addition there was be a Christmas Quiz; Bumper Raffle, and Buffet.

Time: 7:15 pm for 7:30pm
Venue: Bristol Civil Service Club

This will be a Training evening of “Dos & Don’ts for Successful Refereeing” and will include an explanation of the “Assessment Process”, and also find time for “Recent Issues/Q&A” from those attending. All referees welcome, as newcomers can “join on the night”.
